Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse position in CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas. This full-time role involves providing comprehensive critical care for high-acuity patients following cardiac thoracic surgery and related procedures. The position requires knowledge of post-operative recovery, management of complex conditions, and proficiency with advanced equipment such as Impella, Balloon Pump, Artic Sun, TABLO XT/CRRT, and high acuity patient care. Prior experience with Epic electronic health record system is preferred.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred), current BLS (American Heart Association) certification, current ACLS (American Heart Association) certification, RN license in the state of Texas or in a compact state, and at least 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in critical care settings.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role involves caring for patients with multi-system complexities, administering medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects, and providing education for patients and families. New hires must attend orientation within the first 30 days and complete all competency validations, including critical care-specific requirements.
