Develop electrical charging system calibration in the powertrain control module for gas engines, EVs and Hybrids (Low voltage side) including developing calibration for alternator control torque manager, engine idle stability for electrical transients, alternator voltage set point controls, and alternator diagnostics. Release the calibration into Ford system software. Support powertrain development trips for engine calibration by modifying alternator calibration to assist in meeting engine performance requirements.At Ford Motor Company, we believe freedom of movement drives human progress. From autonomy and electrification, to smart mobility technologies, our Product Development teams around the world are working together with excitement to make smart vehicles for a smart world.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related Engineering field3+ years of experience in Product Development preferably in CalibrationExperience performing electrical control system calibration in the automotive industry using ATI vision and INCAExperience gathering vehicle CAN and LIN network data using Vector CANalyzer and Intrepid toolsKnowledge of CAN/CAN-FD AUTOSAR and Cyber securitiesFamiliar with CANalyzer and CANoe tool for testing, and CAPL script for field debuggingFamiliar with Matlab modeling, code generation, debugging and model testingExperience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrentlyPreferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related Engineering fieldProficiency with modeling tools (ex.
