The primary role of the Warehouse Specialist is to support Distribution Center operations and receiving teams. Attention to detail, organization, and following direction are key elements to being successful at this position. You may be asked to assist in other processes such as helping to load/unload transfer trucks, breakdown cardboard, or unpack bikes. This position is roughly 50% physical organizing and 50% other operational tasks around the DC.

The Temporary Warehouse Specialist position will initially be a part time position with the potential to turn into a full time position during the busier months in the spring and summer. This position is not fully guaranteed to achieve full time status.

This compensation package will be dependent on experience, qualifications, industry experience and the interview with a potential range between $20-$23/hr.

Main duties include:

• Unload delivery trucks using a forklift
• Label and organize pallets of bikes
• Verify quantity of packages that are listed on the bill of lading
• Stage the packages for inbound processing
• Label all inbound product with price tags / security tags
• Distribute product to stores based on provided allocations from the allocation team
• Maintain a clean and clutter free workstation

Other duties:

• Assist in loading or unloading transfer trucks
• Be able to drive transfer truck or company vehicle when necessary
• Pick requested product or bikes for stores
• Breakdown and recycle cardboard from deliveries
• Warehouse organization projects

Equipment you will use:

• Pallet jack
• Forklift
• Box cutter
• Carts, dollies and hand trucks
• Other motor vehicles

What you bring to the table:

• Ability to complete and pass a physical exam before an offer is made
• Punctual with a great attendance record
• Communication skills: Speak clearly and listen carefully. Friendly proactive communication with vendors, DC staff and store associates.
• Organization skills: Sort, categorize, label and store items according to standards.
• Valid driver's license and ability to keep a clean driving record while employed.
• Willingness to flex between tasks as priorities change.
• Ability to walk six out of the 8-hour shift.
• Ability to lift overhead and carry bicycles up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 110 lbs.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Ability to drive a forklift and use a pallet jack.
• We operate as one big team at the Distribution Center. You may be asked to assist in other processes or projects as well as you will be expected to receive help from others if needed.

Language skills: Ability to read and comprehend and explain documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English.
