Contracts Specialist

Interim Contracts Specialist - Contracts Administrator Our client, a mission-driven organization, is seeking an Interim Contracts Specialist to support contract administration and documentation during a temporary coverage period. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, 3 days/week in their office in Novato, CA. Responsibilities Own and maintain the organization’s centralized contracts repository, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records Track, organize, and update a wide range of contractual agreements, including vendor, consultant, service, and collaboration contracts Facilitate internal contract routing and approval workflows in alignment with organizational policies Partner with legal, finance, compliance, and program teams to ensure contracts are properly reviewed, approved, and stored Maintain organized access controls and documentation standards for executed agreements Monitor contract status, key dates, and documentation requirements Support process improvements related to contract tracking and administration Respond to internal inquiries related to contract status and documentation Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience in contracts administration or a related role Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Working knowledge of contractual language and documentation standards Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract tracking systems Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Compensation Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to: The individual’s skill sets, experience, and training; Licensure and certifications; Office location and other geographic considerations; Other business and organizational needs.
