Details Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric populations Evening (3x12, 1500-0330) and Night (3x12, 1900-0730) shifts, 12's and 8's as needed Weekend and holiday rotation required Floating required as needed Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active WI RN or Compact RN license required Current certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA only), and TNCC Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years 2 years of high acuity ED experience required, with 40 bed ED experience preferred Epic charting experience required, within the past 12 months preferred Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I and teaching hospital experience preferred At least 1 prior travel assignment of six months minimum required, with extensions highly preferred Must pass a telemetry exam prior to starting, with strict passing criteria for adult and pediatric rhythm interpretation Additional Information Provide emergency care for a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies Perform skills such as IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial and central line management, and blood product administration Manage ventilated and intubated patients, including BiPAP/CPAP and ABG interpretation Administer emergency medications including vasopressors and procedural sedation Perform 12-lead EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia management Experience with splinting and orthopedic trauma care preferred Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted Located at University Hospital in Madison, a Magnet-designated, nationally ranked teaching hospital American Traveler Job ID P-762526.
