Imagine a career where your expertise not only transforms lives but also enriches your own. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the dynamic city of Fort Worth, your role goes beyond addressing challenges related to communication and swallowing. You'll play a critical part in enabling individuals — from curious toddlers venturing into vocabulary to cherished seniors rediscovering their voices — to embark on journeys of personal growth and renewed confidence.
In this position, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele, delivering invaluable services that encompass both outpatient and occasional inpatient treatment. Whether your heart lies with fostering language in children, addressing post-stroke rehabilitation in adults, or guiding elderly patients through cognitive challenges, this is where your passions can seamlessly merge with your professional endeavors.
Description
- Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics employing both formal assessments and nuanced observational methods.
- Create individualized care strategies tailored to the immediate and enduring needs of communication, cognition, or swallowing.
- Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy interventions that enhance the realms of language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing capabilities.
- Join forces with physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, and families to build integrated, cohesive care plans.
- Provide educational resources for patients and families to support progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring comprehensive care throughout the treatment spectrum.
- Uphold meticulous documentation practices that comply with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Engage in continuous learning by staying up-to-date with professional advancements and collaborative learning opportunities.
Education
- Earned a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for candidates not yet holding ASHA certification.
Certifications
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
Skills
- Deep understanding of evidence-based practices across all age groups, specifically regarding developmental and acquired communication difficulties.
- Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Adaptability in therapeutic techniques to honor varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in clinical scenarios.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation practices.
Benefits
- Competitive pay that reflects your experience and expertise.
- Flexible scheduling to ensure a harmonious work-life balance and manageable caseloads.
- Opportunities to dive deeper into pediatric, adult neuro rehab, or geriatric specialties.
- Generous paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.
- Comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
- Reimbursement for continuing education and dedicated support for professional growth.
- A collaborative environment that prioritizes quality care and ongoing learning.

Work in a culture where colleagues feel like family, championing each other in a spirit of collaboration rather than competition. Every individual you meet has a unique story, and we trust you to help narrate it with care.
