IT Admin/Support Specialist – Construction Operations Company Overview 5-STAR Building Solutions is a leading commercial multi-family residential construction firm operating across the Southeast. We are looking for a dedicated, hands-on IT Admin/Support Specialist to join our team at our Kennesaw, Georgia office to keep both our office and field teams running smoothly. Position Summary The IT Admin/Support Specialist provides critical, day-to-day technical support for our office staff and our remote field superintendents. This is an on-premises role based in Kennesaw, Georgia with minimal business travel required. You will be the go-to technical resource for troubleshooting company hardware and software, managing our Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 environments, and ensuring our field teams are supported with remote technology. The ideal candidate pairs strong technical troubleshooting with excellent communication skills to support users of varying technical abilities. Key Responsibilities Provide immediate, first-line hardware, software, and network troubleshooting for all on-site office team members Manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups within the Microsoft 365 environment (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and Windows Server , Active Directory Handle employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup and device provisioning Support backend productivity, documentation, and project tracking tools including Wrike and Notion Set up, configure, and maintain high-performance engineering workstations, laptops, printers, conference room AV equipment, smart locks, cameras, and other connected devices Ensure compliance with internal security protocols and industry best practices Maintain documentation on network and technology assets Remote Field & Mobile Support Provision, deploy, and manage the fleet of company iPads using Apple Business and ManageEngine MDM to ensure security and compliance Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and supporting core construction platforms in the field, specifically Procore Provide remote phone and chat support to field teams, ensuring they have uninterrupted access to crucial construction management apps, and communication tools Troubleshoot mobile connectivity issues (cellular data, VPNs, and hotspot configurations) for remote jobsites Design & Pre-Construction Technical Support Assist with the installation, licensing, and troubleshooting of CAD and BIM software, specifically the Autodesk AEC Collection (Revit, AutoCAD) and specialized drafting plug-ins like StrucSoft Support digital takeoff and estimating software environments, including Bluebeam , PlanSwift and zzTakeOff , ensuring license availability and smooth workstation performance for the Estimating and Pre-Construction teams Qualifications & Experience Experience: 2–4 years of experience in a dedicated IT support, desktop support, or helpdesk role (experience in the construction industry is a major plus) Technical Skills Proficiency in administering Microsoft 365 environments (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and Windows Server Hands-on experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms, specifically ManageEngine MDM, to provision and secure remote iPad deployments Highly Desirable: Experience deploying, licensing, or troubleshooting Autodesk AEC Collection software (Revit/AutoCAD) and framing/detailing plug-ins (e.g., StrucSoft) Familiarity supporting or using construction-specific applications, including Procore and Bluebeam Experience configuring or maintaining workspace collaboration and estimating tools like Wrike, Notion, PlanSwift, or zzTakeOff Solid understanding of high-performance workstation hardware (GPUs, RAM requirements for CAD/BIM rendering) and basic networking Interest in providing technical support and user onboarding for new AI-driven business process initiatives and automated operational workflows Soft Skills: Outstanding patient customer service skills; ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical field personnel Self-motivated with a high degree of problem-solving ownership Excellent organizational skills to track and prioritize open support tickets Coordinate with managed services partners for network and workstation support Location & Hours Location: In-person at our office in Kennesaw, Georgia Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8AM – 5PM or 7AM – 4PM Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience 100% company paid Medical, Vision, Dental and Life Insurance – eligible the first of the month following 60 days of employment 401K Savings Plan – eligible the first of the month following 90 days of employment #J-18808-Ljbffr
