Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with selecting frames, lenses, and lens options based on their prescription, lifestyle, and preferences.
- Interpret and accurately fill eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions.
- Take accurate measurements, including pupillary distance and other fitting measurements.
- Verify, adjust, fit, and dispense eyeglasses and other optical products.
- Educate patients on lens materials, coatings, frame options, and eyewear care.
- Perform frame adjustments and minor repairs as needed.
- Coordinate with optometrists and other team members to ensure excellent patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow all company policies and procedures.
- Provide a welcoming, professional, and positive patient experience.
- Stay current on optical products, technology, and industry standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must have BOTH NCOE + ABO certifications.
- Previous experience working as an optician preferred.
- Strong knowledge of optical products, lenses, frames, and fitting techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.
