Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant (Cost Accounting / FP&A) Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant (Cost Accounting / FP&A) to support financial planning, cost analysis, and reporting activities across the organization. This position will play a key role in analyzing operational costs, maintaining financial data, supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts, and helping leadership better understand financial performance trends. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and analyze cost accounting records related to operations, materials, and services Prepare cost analyses, reporting packages, and inventory-related reporting Assist with month-end and year-end close activities tied to cost accounting functions Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes Investigate financial variances and help identify underlying cost drivers and trends Assist with management reporting and dashboard preparation Maintain financial data within reporting and planning systems Partner cross-functionally with operational and finance teams to improve reporting accuracy and cost visibility Analyze historical spending patterns and support financial decision-making initiatives Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field 3-5+ years of accounting or finance experience with exposure to cost accounting, reconciliations, budgeting, or variance analysis Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, reporting, and data analysis Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Experience with forecasting or financial planning systems such as Oracle Hyperion is preferred Exposure to BI/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau is preferred Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 salary Job Status: Direct Hire.
