CNC Plate-Cutting Operator (Metals Fabrication)

What your day looks like

Join a leading manufacturer near Decatur, AL as a CNC-focused metal cutting operator. From clock-in to close, you’ll translate drawings into precision-cut metal plates, keep production flowing, and collaborate closely with fabrication and welding teams.

A day in the role

Review work orders and job specs, then load metal sheets/plates onto the cutting equipment safely.
Set up machines and programs, dialing in parameters like speed and amperage to match each job.
Run parts and verify accuracy with calipers and tape measures; make adjustments for tight tolerances.
Keep equipment clean and perform basic preventive maintenance to maximize uptime.
Coordinate handoffs with fabrication and welding so jobs move seamlessly through the shop.

What you bring

Comfort standing and walking for a full shift; able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
Commitment to safety and proper PPE at all times.
High school diploma (or equivalent).
Ability to pass a measurement assessment.
Steel-toed boots required.

Schedule and pay

1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM
$18/hour with overtime opportunities
