Cardiac Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist

Tufts Medical Center is seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our renowned academic medical center in Boston. As an integral member of our cardiac catheterization laboratory, you will support interventional cardiologists and the care team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered cardiac care in a fast-paced, highly specialized environment. In this role, you will utilize advanced fluoroscopic and digital imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic and interventional images during cardiac catheterizations, coronary interventions, structural heart procedures, and other invasive cardiovascular studies. You will prepare procedure rooms, ensure all imaging and hemodynamic recording systems are functioning properly, and maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection prevention standards. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and technologists, you will help position patients, monitor them throughout procedures, and adjust imaging parameters to optimize visualization while minimizing radiation exposure. The Cardiac Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist is responsible for applying rigorous radiation safety principles for patients, staff, and self, including appropriate shielding, collimation, and dose monitoring, in accordance with institutional and regulatory guidelines. You will assist in contrast administration workflows, document and label images accurately within PACS and the electronic medical record, and participate in pre- and post-procedure imaging-related tasks, equipment checks, and quality assurance activities. Your ability to recognize basic cardiac rhythms and assist the care team during urgent and emergent situations, such as acute myocardial infarction or hemodynamic instability, will be essential.
