The successful candidate will be a key leader during active portfolio expansion, with the opportunity to build and shape the accounting team. This high-visibility position involves real influence on strategic and financial decisions, as well as exposure to investor reporting, deal activity, and senior leadership discussions. The VP of Accounting will be responsible for leading, developing, and scaling the accounting team, overseeing financial reporting, and managing residential real estate and HUD accounting and compliance. Close partnership with the CFO on cash flow, forecasting, and scaling the finance function is also a key aspect of the role. Applicants for the VP of Accounting position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of accounting experience, with a strong preference for those with a background in residential real estate and HUD. The role requires a proven track record in leading and developing teams at a senior level, as well as a strong background in investor and external financial reporting. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required, with a CPA or Master's degree being preferred.
