Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Registered Nurse provides high-acuity care in the Emergency Room, supporting rapid assessment, intervention, and safe patient outcomes during critical presentations. This role requires strong emergency nursing competencies, documentation accuracy, and readiness for compliance testing requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients promptly and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical status.
• Administer medications, therapies, and nursing interventions in accordance with evidence-based protocols.
• Perform and document relevant clinical findings, including EKG-related preparation and interpretation support.
• Implement trauma-informed nursing practices and escalate changes in condition to the care team.
• Manage patient flow needs by coordinating care activities and supporting department readiness.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation using EPIC.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse license with license-in-hand at submission.
• Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications and maintain required renewals.
• Demonstrate competency with NIH and emergency department clinical standards.
• Show EPIC experience as required for documentation and workflow.
• Complete or be prepared to complete the required Pass/Fail EKG exam (all specialties) with readiness before submission.
• Prefer TNCC, PALS, CPI experience; prefer prior Charge RN and L2 Trauma experience.
