Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support the main surgical unit at a busy hospital. The role involves assisting with a variety of cases, primarily in neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, urology, and general surgery, utilizing advanced robotic systems.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms with appropriate sterile supplies and equipment for scheduled surgeries.
• Assist surgeons during procedures, ensuring all instruments and tools are readily available.
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols to minimize infection risk.
• Manage and organize surgical instruments and supplies pre- and post-operation.
• Support the operation of robotic surgical systems, including DaVinci XI robots.
• Document surgical procedures and assist in patient positioning as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist within a specialty setting.
• Demonstrate recent neuro and thoracic surgical experience.
• Certifications: Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Possess strong knowledge of surgical protocols, instrumentation, and sterile techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, 24/7 surgical environment.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
