We are a growing, multi-location Allstate agency looking for a motivated, customer-focused professional to join our Valparaiso team.

We are looking for a self-starter, critical thinker, and strong communicator who takes ownership of their work and wants to grow within the insurance industry.

This is more than a transactional customer service role. Our service team builds relationships, helps clients understand their coverage, solves problems, and looks for opportunities to better protect the households we serve. The right person genuinely enjoys helping people while also being comfortable asking questions, uncovering additional needs, and identifying cross-sell opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and take ownership of client needs from start to finish
• Assist with policy changes, billing questions, cancellations, claims-related questions, inspections, and other service needs
• Conduct proactive insurance reviews and help clients understand their coverage
• Deepen relationships with existing clients and uncover additional insurance needs within the household
• Cross-sell appropriate products and work toward individual and agency sales goals
• Onboard new customers and help create a smooth transition into the agency
• Complete timely follow-up and accurately document customer interactions
• Support client retention through proactive communication, problem-solving, and relationship building

Requirements

• Customer service experience required; insurance experience strongly preferred
• Property Casualty license preferred ; willing to license the right candidate
• Highly motivated, dependable self-starter
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable having sales conversations and identifying opportunities based on client needs
• Coachable and motivated by both individual and team goals
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable navigating difficult customer conversations
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
