Job Description Claypool Electric Claypool Electric Lancaster, Ohio Full-Time 100% Onsite Recommended salary range: $70,000–$85,000 annually, commensurate with experience. About Claypool Electric Founded in Lancaster, Ohio in 1954, Claypool Electric is a third-generation, family-owned, full-service electrical contractor serving commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, technology, safety/security, renewable-energy, and other construction markets throughout Central and Southern Ohio. The Opportunity Claypool Electric is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to support approximately 311 employees across office, field, and project-based operations. Working closely with the HR Manager, this role will provide day-to-day support across employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, leave administration, HR records, compliance, and employee questions. What You’ll Do Provide responsive day-to-day HR support to employees and supervisors. Support recruiting, candidate screening, interview coordination, offers, onboarding, and I-9 documentation. Assist with employee relations documentation, investigations, performance management, and follow-up. Support benefits, FMLA, accommodations, return-to-work processes, and employee status changes. Maintain accurate personnel records and employee data in Vista by Viewpoint and related systems. Partner with payroll and assist with HR reporting, audits, and process improvement. What We’re Looking For 3–5 years of progressive HR experience. Working knowledge of employee relations, onboarding, benefits, leave administration, compliance, and recordkeeping. Strong organization, documentation, communication, confidentiality, and follow-through. Construction, skilled-trades, manufacturing, or other field-workforce experience preferred. SHRM-CP/PHR and Vista by Viewpoint experience are preferred, not required. Comfort working onsite and interacting with employees and leaders at every level of the organization.
