CNA – Long-Term Care

Schedule: Full-time evenings. All contracts must run through the holiday season & begin full shift orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 27 weeks

Requirements:

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification
• BLS Certification (through AHA or RQI only)
• One (1) year of previous long-term care experience
• High School Diploma or GED

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) in accordance with the plan of care and established policies.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents, responding promptly to call lights and alarms.
• Support residents' nutritional needs by assisting with meal delivery and feeding as necessary.
• Participate in rehabilitative activities ensuring proper techniques for mobility and transfers.
• Report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or psychosocial status to the charge nurse.
• Follow safety protocols to minimize occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

Compliance / Notes:

Orientation begins on a Tuesday or Thursday.
