Role Overview

This role is focused on designing, developing, and supporting the tooling, automation frameworks, and observability capabilities that enable teams to operate critical business services at scale. The successful candidate will help drive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices, improve operational workflows, enhance platform observability, and develop solutions that reduce manual effort while increasing service reliability and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support tooling, automation frameworks, and observability capabilities.
• Partner with application development and infrastructure engineering teams to improve service reliability and reduce operational risk.
• Drive SRE best practices and enhance platform observability.
• Develop solutions to reduce manual effort and increase service resilience.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and operational dashboards.
• Participate in incident management, production support, and root cause analysis.
• Integrate systems through APIs and service interfaces.

Required Qualifications

• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, or other automation languages.
• Experience developing tooling, automation frameworks, or engineering utilities.
• Hands-on experience with observability platforms such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Understanding of database technologies including MySQL, MongoDB, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Node.js.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) organization.
• Hands-on experience defining and implementing SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Experience with reliability engineering, resiliency assessments, and operational readiness reviews.
• Kubernetes and OpenShift experience.
• Infrastructure as Code experience using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience developing self-service platforms and engineering productivity tools.
• Knowledge of observability standards including OpenTelemetry.
• Experience operating within large-scale, high-availability financial services environments.

Work Environment

This position has a hybrid work model. The role requires being in the office four days per week for the first six months. Afterward, the schedule transitions to three days in the office and two days remote.
