About the Role The Business Development Senior Specialist – Global Litigation & Trial is an integral part of Latham’s Business Development team. This role will be responsible for working closely with the Litigation & Trial Business Development (BD) team to execute the strategies of the various Litigation & Trial practice groups, while developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the firm’s market position, competitive landscape, client base, and bench of expertise in litigation. This role will be located in either our San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Downtown Los Angeles (Global Services Office), New York, or Washington, D.C. office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. Responsibilities & Qualifications Other key responsibilities include:Staying abreast of developments and trends at the intersection of litigation and technology, and remaining informed of all major new clients and mattersProviding research, analysis, and reporting to support the identification and development of new clients and the enhancement of existing client relationshipsSupporting the practice groups in routine analysis and reporting of practice and industry competition, market trends, internal financial information, business opportunities, and pitch activity in efforts to develop and implement internal and external strategies both globally and by regionCollaborating with lawyers, BD, and public relations teams on speaking opportunities, webinars, and other visibility initiativesDisseminating relevant sector, market, and client trends internallyProtecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains We’d love to hear from you if you:Possess knowledge of the litigation landscapeDemonstrate the ability to execute multiple work streams and manage priorities effectivelyDisplay the ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focusAnd have:A bachelor’s degree or an equivalentA minimum of four (4) years of relevant business development experience and related analytical experienceA minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience working within litigation practice areas at a law firm Benefits & Additional Information Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
