HVAC & Electrical Service Technician - 10% Commission

Job Description

Job Description

Senior HVAC & Electrical Service Technician – 10% Commission + 100% Paid Benefits

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (South Hills Focus)

Pay: $27.00 - $31.00+ per hour (Based on Pay Bands) + Uncapped Commission

Are you an expert tech tired of high-pressure sales quotas and corporate bureaucracy?

At South Hills Electric, Heating & Cooling, we operate as the "Trusted Family Doctors" of the Pittsburgh trades. We don't want "salespeople" in uniforms; we want elite diagnosticians who take pride in solving complex problems and are rewarded like partners when they drive growth.

Why Senior Techs Move to South Hills Electric:

• The Best Commission in Pittsburgh: Earn 10% commission on every job over $3,000.

• Example: A $16,800 full system install puts $1,680 cash in your pocket on top of your hourly pay.

• No Pay Caps: Once you hit the $30/hr threshold, your earning potential continues to grow based on advancement factors—not just the calendar.

• 100% Company-Paid Medical & Dental: We cover your premiums entirely. This is a true "Platinum" benefit.

• The "Family Doctor" Culture: We focus on the South Hills. Spend your day fixing equipment and helping neighbors, not sitting in Parkway traffic or being forced to sell "snake oil" accessories.

• Elite Support: Take-home truck (fuel card included), company-sponsored Vanguard retirement match (up to $1,500/yr), and 100% company-paid NATE/Boiler certifications.

What We’re Looking For (Level 04 Criteria):

• Expert Diagnosticians: You can handle complex systems, boilers, and difficult service calls that leave other techs scratching their heads.

• Revenue Leaders: You naturally drive system replacement recommendations because you know when a unit is beyond its life, not because you have a quota.

• Mentors: You are willing to assist in training our Junior Techs (Level 01-02) to maintain our high standards.

• Credentials: EPA Universal Certification required. NATE or specialized Boiler certifications are a major plus (and we will pay for you to get more).

Your Benefits Package Includes:

• Competitive Hourly Rate ($27–$31+ DOE)

• 10% Install/Major Repair Commission

• $50 Spiff for every Maintenance Agreement sold

• Weekly efficiency bonuses (3%–5% based on completed sales)

• 100% Paid Health, Dental, and Vision for you

• Paid Time Off (Accrues after 90 days)

• Tool Allowance & Uniforms provided
