Veterinary Assistant at VCA Lakota Hills Animal Hospital Schedule: Full-time opportunity. Compensation: The starting range is $15 - 18/hr, and is determined by skill set, and years of experience in the field. What You'll Do: At VCA Lakota Hills Animal Hospital, you'll join a 6-doctor team that focuses on caring for dogs and cats, with a strong reputation for compassionate medicine and long-standing client relationships. As a Veterinary Assistant at VCA Lakota Hills, you will support the team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Skills that will be utilized may include, but are not limited to: Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams and procedures Take patient histories and perform TPRs (temperature, pulse, respiration) Restrain animals safely and compassionately Prepare and clean exam rooms Assist with radiographs, lab sample collection, and basic in-house diagnostics Maintain accurate medical records and support charting Provide client education and ensure excellent service during visits Support surgery prep and recovery as needed Help maintain a clean, stocked, and organized hospital environment At VCA, we're passionate about delivering world-class veterinary care while supporting the people who make it possible.
