Overview Manage and assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties under close supervision. Responsibilities Manage field crew in the day‑to‑day production of projects. Exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety. Order tools and equipment. Interpret blueprints/plans and construct accordingly. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Provide leadership to others through example. Plan and procure materials for pipe installation and related work. Coordinate staff and work with owner representatives. Implement a safe workplace and adhere to all safety regulations. Requirements Five (5) years of experience managing crews on highway projects. Capability to lift, push, pull, or move up to seventy (70) pounds. Ability to climb, kneel, twist, and bend in various environments. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items. Demonstrated experience in utility work supervision (gravity sewer, sewer force main, storm drain, waterline – NNWW preferred). Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Valid driver license for occasional travel. Problem‑solving skills: define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle abstract and concrete variables. Physical capability to maneuver by foot around minor obstacles on construction sites. Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions (rain, sun, snow, wind).
