Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines while using critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Provide direct patient care on a general acute care unit with a mixed medical/surgical population, ensuring safety, comfort, and timely treatment.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered; monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes; collaborate with the healthcare team for care planning and discharge planning as appropriate.

Requirements
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (3x12 schedule) in a hospital setting
- Capacity to function on a unit with a mixed medical/surgical patient population (up to 65% medical or 65% surgical distribution as described)
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment in Fort Bragg, CA
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to apply critical thinking in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adhere to unit policies, patient safety standards, and professional nursing guidelines
