Back Floor Supervisor
Location: West Coast Dental – Southern California
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position SummaryThe Back Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the clinical back office. This leader will supervise dental assistants and clinical support staff, maintain OSHA and infection control compliance, support providers, and ensure a smooth patient flow throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop the clinical support team.
- Monitor daily patient flow and adjust staffing to maximize efficiency.
- Ensure all operatories are fully stocked, organized, and treatment-ready.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and company policies.
- Train and onboard new clinical team members.
- Conduct regular audits of sterilization and clinical protocols.
- Manage clinical supply inventory and ordering.
- Partner with the Office Manager and providers to achieve operational and patient satisfaction goals.
- Address patient concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license preferred (if applicable).
- Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and sterilization procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with dental practice management software is a plus.
