Job Description
Title: Sterile Processing Technician - Surgical Services

Schedule:
- Shift: 3x12 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights) 18:00 - 06:30

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of sterile processing or relevant experience required
- National certification required: CBSPD or CRCST (HSPA/formerly IAHCSMM)
- Trauma Level I experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Ensure the proper cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and trays
- Utilize aseptic techniques in the preparation and handling of surgical supplies
- Monitor sterilization processes and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of instrument tracking and sterilization monitoring
- Perform manual and ultrasonic cleaning, as well as washer/sterilizer operation

Compliance / Notes:
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions allowed
- Compliance deadline: 3 PM CST on the Monday before the initial start date
