Take the lead in a fast-paced Emergency Department as a Nurse Manager, overseeing a team of skilled RNs dedicated to high-quality, patient-centered care. This role offers operational leadership, staff development, and the opportunity to implement performance improvement initiatives while shaping the patient experience in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring quality care and efficient workflow; managing staffing, scheduling, and FTE assignments to meet patient volume and acuity needs; providing direct supervision, mentorship, and coaching to ED staff; ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards; facilitating new employee onboarding and integration into the team; conducting performance evaluations, supporting conflict resolution, and implementing disciplinary actions as needed; collaborating with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care; implementing quality checks and performance improvement initiatives for patient safety and operational efficiency; assisting with clinical procedures and case management as required; and monitoring and reporting on department data for decision-making and continuous improvement.

Qualifications required include a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Florida license or compact license (FL RN license required within 90 days if holding out-of-state compact license); an Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma from an accredited institution; enrollment in a BSN program; 35 years of acute care ED leadership experience within the last year; and Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification within 30 days of hire. Preferred qualifications include an Advanced Nurse Practitioner license, experience managing high-volume EDs with 50+ FTEs, and strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
