Whether you prefer day or night shifts, this assignment provides a stable, supportive team dedicated to your success.Quick FactsLocation: 460 West 10th Avenue, Columbus, OH 43210Start Date: 01/05/2026End Date: 04/27/2026Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30); Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)Hours per Week: 36 hours (12-hour shifts)Employment Type: ContractRequired Licenses/Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)Experience: Oncology experience preferred but not required; EPIC charting experience requiredPay & BenefitsPay Rate: $59.18/hourBenefits: Competitive pay packagesWeekly pay via direct depositMedical benefits (W-2)Referral bonus programPaid sick time per applicable lawsLicensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicableWhat You'll DoFloat between Oncology Medical-Surgical (MS) and PCU units based on staffing needs.Provide patient care to adults with active oncology diagnoses, surgical needs, or other medical conditions.Ensure safety and security within a correctional facility environment.Utilize Pyxis medication systems and EPIC documentation platform.Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage IV therapy, and support respiratory needs such as BIPAP, CPAP, or oxygen therapy.Support patients with complex diagnoses including hematology, oncology, and renal issues.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, respiratory, radiology, and social services.Adhere to safety protocols in a locked, controlled correctional setting.What You NeedRequired:Valid RN license in OhioBLS certificationEPIC charting experienceAt least some nursing experience (medical-surgical or telemetry)Preferred:Oncology nursing experienceExperience managing complex patient conditions such as renal or endocrine issuesAbout the AssignmentThis role is with a leading correctional health provider serving Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections inmates. The unit is a secure, locked environment with access controlled by Corrections Officers. The RN will support patients with active cancer diagnoses, surgical procedures, or other complex health needs, ensuring safety and quality of care during their stay. Shifts vary between days and nights, with schedule adjustments every 4 weeks based on staffing needs.
