Payment Processing Specialist

Processing incoming payments and resolving issues with banks and insurance carriers, the full-time Payment Processing Specialist will work remotely to ensure accurate payment transactions and effective communication with various stakeholders. Key responsibilities Processing incoming payments from insurance carriers and sorting daily mail to appropriate lockboxes Verifying payment statuses with insurance carriers and requesting reissuance of checks as necessary Managing special projects and maintaining effective communication with clients, banks, and patients Required qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Experience in medical billing office and payment posting preferred Familiarity with bank processes, including non-sufficient funds and international checks is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Able to navigate insurance carrier websites effectively
