Job Description:

As a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with patients from start to finish, providing essential support to healthcare providers. This role offers hands-on clinical experience and is an excellent opportunity for those pursuing higher education in the medical field. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates with goals to acquire clinical/scribe/patient facing hours prior to applying for medical school. 2-3 year commitment is needed as well as expected.

Responsibilities:

• Support patients from check-in to check-out to ensure a seamless visit
• Room patients and gather vitals, history, and relevant clinical information
• Scribe during the visit to accurately document the provider's assessment and plan
• Present patient information and updates to the physician before the exam
• Follow up with the provider after each visit to complete orders, referrals, and next steps

Essential Skills:

• Knowledge of biology
• Bachelors degree in a pre-med field
• Experience as a scribe is a plus

Schedule:

• M-F - 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• No weekends

Work Environment:

You will be working in various clinics, including Lakewood and Westminster. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a floating day once a week to a secondary clinic. You will follow the provider you work with. The role includes hands-on clinical experience, clinical hours, and long-term networking opportunities. The MA manager schedules 35-40 hours per week to allow time for school or program commitments. Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakewood, CO.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
