About the Role

We are a growing company and looking to add a detail oriented Accounting Assistant to our office staff! Excellent time management, accuracy and attention to detail are key in this role. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual wanting to expand their accounting knowledge and start their career with a wonderful organization!

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00/hour Depending On Experience

Benefits: Company Paid Medical and Life for the employee, and dental and vision for the full-time employee and their family, along with other coverage that can be added. 401k with up to a 3% company match, begins 1 year after your start date.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile job paperwork and create and organize job folders.
• Request permits, schedule inspections, register equipment, and submit rebate applications.
• Prepare and send customer invoices, ensuring charges and job details are accurate.
• Assist with accounts receivable by recording payments, monitoring outstanding balances, and following up on past-due accounts.
• Assist with accounts payable by entering vendor bills, verifying charges, and preparing payments for approval.
• Help reconcile customer and vendor accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Assist with payroll processing and data entry.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.

Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant work experience
• Strong interpersonal and human relations skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Familiar with QuickBooks
• Experience providing exceptional customer service
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to work well with others
• Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
• Ability to keep a positive attitude
