Schedule / Job Type
Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a neurology-focused telemetry unit within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center setting
• Utilize and document the NIH Stroke Scale accurately and consistently
• Manage a patient assignment at an expected ratio of 1:5
• Float between units as needed based on staffing and patient census
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule.
• Chart using Epic EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Minimum 6 months of neurology experience required
• Proficiency with the NIH Stroke Scale and care of neurological diagnoses
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a telemetry or neuro-telemetry unit
• Familiarity with Epic EMR
• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care or trauma center environment
