Sr SAP S/4HANA US Payroll Consultant (Hands-On Configuration)

Job DescriptionADP is seeking a true hands-on SAP S/4HANA Payroll Consultant with deep expertise in US Payroll schemas, rules, and configuration to support GlobalView clients.This is a post-production + configuration-heavy role, not coordination or ticket routing. You will be expected to personally analyze, configure, and resolve payroll issues at the schema and rule level and advise clients with authority.If you cannot confidently work within SAP Payroll schemas and rules, this role is not a fit.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Here's what you can expect on a typical day: Post-Production Support & Root Cause OwnershipIndependently troubleshoot payroll issues using schemas, PCRs, logs, and cluster results (RT, CRT, etc.)Perform root cause analysis—not escalationConfigure fixes and validate using payroll simulations and test runs (PC00_M10_CALC)Analyze impact of Support Packs and SAP Notes on payroll processingHands-On Payroll ConfigurationConfigure and modify: Payroll schemas Personnel Calculation Rules Wage type processing, valuation, and custom logicMaintain and enhance: Enterprise structure, Payroll areas, Personnel structurePosting to Finance (symbolic accounts, wage type mapping)Support Time Management integration impacting payrollS/4HANA Payroll ExpertiseNavigate differences between ECC vs S/4HANA PayrollUnderstand Fiori apps, payroll control center (PCC), and architecture differencesSupport payroll integrations and Finance postings in S/4 environmentClient Advisory (SME-Level)Explain why payroll behaves a certain way, not just fix itAdvise on best practices and implications of configuration decisionsLead mini-enhancements or payroll-related solution changesTechnical CollaborationPartner with technical teams, but own the functional solution designInterpret SAP Notes and apply them correctly to payroll logicLeadershipMentor junior consultants specifically in: Schema navigationPCR designPayroll debugging techniquesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:3–5+ years hands-on SAP US Payroll configurationDeep experience with: Schemas and PCR rules (must be able to explain logic)Payroll processing cycle and logsWage type configuration and processingProven ability to: Debug payroll results in clusters and logsConfigure solutions independentlyDisqualifiersNo experience working directly in schemas (PE01) or PCRsOnly ticket-based or L1/L2 support without configuration ownershipInability to explain payroll execution flow step-by-stepExperience limited to HR admin or data entryWhat We Will Test You OnReal configuration scenariosSchema interpretationPayroll calculation debuggingUnderstanding of wage type flow and processing logicInterview Process Recruiter Prescreening 30 minutes 1 – 2 technical interviews 1hour in duration (In – person or Virtual)YOU'LL LOVE WORKING HERE BECAUSE YOU CAN:Have courageous team collaboration.
