Shift Details: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM, 5 shifts per week, 40 scheduled hours.

Job Order Details: Start Date 06/22/2026, End Date 09/20/2026, Duration 13 weeks.

Job Description: Rate $85/hr, Start Date ASAP, Shift/Mids 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Type of patients/cases on the unit: limited Pediatric (ortho only), Adult, Geriatric. This position is mainly for the St Patrick Campus which does Ortho (Mako Total knees/total hip/gamma nails), Podiatry (bunion/ankle scopes/ankle and foot fractures), Hand (fractures/CMC), Spine/Crani (ALIF/DLIF/TLIF/Kypho/Crani), General (chole/appy/hernia/colon/robotic), Urology (TURP/cysto/stones). The float campus would be Lake Area which has Pain, ENT (including pediatric), Urology, Gynecology, Podiatry, General and some Ortho.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: BLS required, RN License in state of employment or compact.

Weekend Requirement: On-call 1-2 times per week and every 3rd weekend (Fri-Sunday).

Floating Requirement / Locations: Only needed in OR. Could be asked to float between St. Pats and Lake Area.

Nurse / Patient Ratio: 1:1.

Summary: The competent nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.

Responsibilities: Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families in accordance with their level of practice. Using the appropriate protocol, administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or caregivers; identify issues and resources.

Job Requirements: Education/Skills Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred. Experience 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.

Work Schedule: 11AM-7PM Monday-Friday.
