JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Public Health Sciences at Penn State College of Medicine is seeking a part-time student research assistant to support a funded research project examining climate-related environmental exposures and pregnancy outcomes. The student will work under the supervision of Dr. Kristin Sznajder and assist with research activities that may include literature reviews, data management and documentation, preparation and analysis of quantitative data, participant recruitment and qualitative data collection, qualitative coding, and preparation of research reports, presentations, abstracts, and manuscripts. Working closely with the counterpart at Penn State Harrisburg, the research assistant will support field entomological activities for mosquito sampling and integration with climate data. The position provides an opportunity to gain experience in maternal and reproductive health research, environmental epidemiology, field entomology, and mixed-methods research. Applicants should have strong organizational and written communication skills, attention to detail, and an interest in public health research. Experience with statistical software, qualitative research, or data management is preferred but not required.
