It is with you that industry can do it! We are currently seeking a Surface Grinder, who has the same desire to prove that industry can do it! Starting Pay: $20+ per hour (rate offered is based on experience) Overtime Available At Fives we all have a part to play in achieving our common purpose. Your role will be to: Set up and operate surface grinding machines to shape and finish metal parts. Adjust machine settings and grinding wheels to make parts the correct size and smooth finish. Read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to make quality parts. Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy. Follow all quality control, work place safety, and production standards. Work with steel, carbide, and specialty materials to produce finished components. We are seeking someone with a minimum of: High School Diploma 1 year of manufacturing experience, previous machinist or tooling experience preferred Strong shop math capabilities to calculate dimensions & tolerance. Familiarity with reading Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing. Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other documents.
