Education Specialist (Family Foster Care) Full Time Bronx, NY, US 1 Attachments 6 days ago Requisition ID: 1616 Position Overview Assure each student in the Family Foster Care Department has an educational plan which meets their individual needs, including school or other educational placement, transportation to school and supplemental educational services. In conjunction with the Caseworker, Social Worker and Behavioral Specialist/Therapist formulate and implement an education plan for each of those students. Coordinate educational services including tutoring and other enrichment services for youth. Assist with advocacy of school placement, transportation and supplemental educational services are in place for all youth within the Family Foster Care Department. Position Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field. Two years’ experience in Education or Child Welfare. Basic computer skill and good written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to work evening and weekend time.
