Overview (26/27 Year) K-12 Special Education Intervention Specialist (Multiple Hirings) – Virtual Classroom Job Title: K-12 Special Education Intervention Specialist (Virtual Classroom) Location: Remote Job Type: Full-Time 7:45-3:15 M-F (2026-2027 School Year) School: Buckeye Online School for Success (BOSS) Key Responsibilities Maintain a daily bell schedule and regularly collaborate with students, parents, and staff. Prepare and update accessible, engaging lessons aligned to Ohio State Content Standards, using accommodations and modifications as needed. Grade assignments, report modified grades to general education teachers, and ensure IEP accommodations are followed. Write IEPs, contribute to ETRs, and monitor progress on goals quarterly. Use varied instructional methods to deliver remediation, enrichment, and interventions. Administer statewide and district assessments; monitor weekly student progress and participation. Communicate regularly with students and families to support engagement and achievement; document interactions. Address academic and behavioral concerns and refer to support services when needed. Attend family events, field trips, and testing sessions. Support students with scheduling, technology use, and work habits. Prepare supplemental resources during tech interruptions. Participate in conferences, professional development, evaluations, and graduation ceremonies. Maintain a professional and organized workspace. Work toward and maintain highly qualified status in all core content areas.
