Fleet Support Engineer

Our client, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology and fleet management, is seeking a Fleet Support Engineer to join their team. As a Fleet Support Engineer, you will be part of the Vehicle Development department supporting operational uptime and fleet performance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, collaboration, and meticulous documentation, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Fleet Support Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA

Pay Range: $83/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Serve as the primary point of contact for real-time escalations related to sensor issues within the fleet.

• Conduct detailed root cause analysis by reviewing logs to identify and resolve fleet problems.

• Develop, update, and maintain troubleshooting guides for technicians, incorporating new fault diagnoses and solutions.

• Perform hardware validation and bring-up procedures for new sensor components such as LiDAR, radar, and cameras.

• Design diagnostic procedures to improve troubleshooting efficiency, focusing on sensor calibration and data integrity.

What's Needed?

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicle sectors, with a focus on perception systems and sensors.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

• Experience with low/high voltage circuits, UDS, and troubleshooting safety protocols.

• Understanding of hardware and software system architecture supporting operational environments.

• Ability to interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and connector pinouts effectively.
