Goranson Bain Ausley is seeking a Family Law Paralegal to join our Fort Worth office! The right candidate must have 5+ years of Texas Family Law experience along with attention to detail, strong organizational and drafting skills, and the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal. Duties & Responsibilities:Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and orders for review, approval, and use by the attorney.Correspond with clients, opposing counsel and/or opposing parties, and court coordinators.Prepare spreadsheets and documents for Inventory and Appraisement and calculate child support.File pleadings with the court.Coordinate issuance and delivery of subpoenas.Conduct intake calls with potential new clients and prepare attorneys for initial consultation.Assist attorneys in preparing for mediations, depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences.Assist attorneys in analyzing and resolving problems/challenges that arise in family law cases.Draft discovery requests/responses, assist clients in complying with discovery requests and document production.Calendar relevant due dates regarding discovery and all deadlines associated with the TRCP. Job requirements:Undergraduate degree preferred but not requiredParalegal certificate or certification preferred but not required5+ years of Texas Family Law experienceSolid understanding of the Texas Family Code and the Texas Rules of Civil ProcedureExceptional verbal and written communications skills, with superior attention to detailExcellent prioritization, problem solving and time management skillsAbility to learn and utilize new software, technology and techniques as needed to meet the changing demands of the legal marketplaceCreativity, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced work environmentCompensationGBA offers a competitive compensation package including a market-competitive base salary commensurate with experience, medical, dental, vision, 401k contributions, holidays including a full week between December 25th through January 1st, PTO, annual bonuses, and more.Goranson Bain Ausley, PLLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state, or local protected class.
