Role Overview We're looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to create, implement, and optimize marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth — across digital channels, PR and influencer relationships, consumer research, and in-store activations. The ideal candidate is creative, data-driven, and equally comfortable running a paid ad campaign, briefing an influencer, or analyzing focus group results. This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the Brand & Production Manager. Responsibilities Ad Management: Plan, develop, and execute marketing campaigns across search, social, email, and display advertising, coordinating with outside agencies as needed Content Strategy & Execution: Generate compelling content aligned with brand goals across social, email, and promotional materials PR & Influencer Marketing: Build and manage relationships with press and influencers; coordinate outreach, gifting, and partnerships that build brand credibility and reach Social Media Management: Manage and grow our presence across platforms — creating and scheduling posts, responding to comments, and analyzing performance Email Marketing: Design, execute, and optimize email campaigns to nurture leads, retain customers, and drive conversion Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and report on campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, ensuring KPIs and ROI goals are met Market Research: Lead consumer market research, focus groups, and competitor tracking to inform brand and product decisions Events: Plan and execute activations at our flagship store Collaboration: Partner closely with the Brand & Production Manager on campaign timing, messaging, and brand consistency Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing, PR, or a related role — beauty, fragrance, or DTC experience preferred Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, or HubSpot Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo) Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools such as Google Analytics Understanding of PR fundamentals and the influencer marketing landscape Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and branding Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience running focus groups or consumer research Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) Familiarity with HTML/CSS and website platforms such as WordPress Certification in Google Ads or a similar platform What we are looking for Comfortable wearing many hats and shifting priorities on short notice — one day might be focus group analysis, the next is styling a store activation Resourceful and self-directed; you won't have a large team or deep process to lean on, so you build what's needed as you go Genuinely excited to work in-person — this role is based in our Bethesda, MD office 5 days a week, and being in the room with the team and product is part of how we work Calm under ambiguity and able to reprioritize without losing momentum Invested in growing with a small brand, not just executing a fixed job description What we offer Opportunities for professional growth and learning A collaborative and innovative work environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
