ACCIONA Construction USA, part of the SR 400 Peach Partners consortium, has been awarded the contract to design and construct the SR 400 Express Lanes project in Atlanta, Georgia. This $4.6 billion project, awarded by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), is a key public‑private partnership aimed at addressing congestion on a major highway in the Atlanta metro area. Job Description To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: Establish a network of vendors to gather quotes for identified materials, consumables and/or rental equipment. Prepare and issue bid comparison sheets for approval to proceed. Create and negotiate Purchase Orders. Record goods ordered and received; assist with accounts payable reconciliation. Accurately track status of orders after issuance of Purchase Order. Prepare reports and correspondence as needed. Maintain knowledge of company values and strategic plan. Support published corporate policies. Perform additional assignments per management’s direction. Required Skills and Competencies Education and/or Experience High school diploma / GED required. Minimum five years of related experience in a buyer role working for a medium‑to‑large contractor. Local vendor market knowledge (Atlanta area). Recognized procurement certification desirable (APICS, CPSM, or similar). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Exceptional communication and organization skills. Introductory knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) with general knowledge of database utilization. JD Edwards E1 World experience is a plus. Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately. Ability to identify, track and communicate project plan steps and actions.
