Make a difference, come join the team!/ppThe Quality Control and Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of equipment and processes within the manufacturing and laboratory environments. This role involves a variety of tasks including equipment setup, calibration, maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols./ppEquipment Setup and Maintenance:/pulliSet up and maintain various equipment including tent air systems, flow meters, polishing machines, and welding benches./liliInstall, test, and maintain air hoses, regulators, and other pneumatic systems./liliEnsure proper functioning of clean room equipment, including HEPA filters and dehumidifiers./li/ulpQuality Control:/pulliConduct quality checks on instruments and equipment, including calibration of tools and fixtures./liliMaintain calibration logs and documentation for all equipment./liliEvaluate and test equipment to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards./li/ulpSafety and Compliance:/pulliConduct regular inspections of safety equipment, including AEDs, fire extinguishers, and emergency exit signs./liliEnsure proper labeling and signage for safety protocols and evacuation routes./liliManage the retirement and disposal of outdated or non-compliant equipment./li/ulpInventory and Supplies Management:/pulliOrder and manage supplies, including calibration materials, cleaning supplies, and safety gear./liliOrganize and maintain storage areas, ensuring that tools and materials are easily accessible and properly labeled./li/ulpTraining and Documentation:/pulliAssist in training staff on equipment use, safety protocols, and quality control procedures./liliMaintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, calibration, and safety inspections./li/ulpGeneral Maintenance:/pulliPerform general maintenance tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and repairing equipment and workspaces./liliCollaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency./li/ulpDo you qualify?/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred./liliProven experience in equipment maintenance, quality control, or a similar role./liliStrong understanding of safety protocols and quality assurance practices./liliExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail./liliAbility to work independently and as part of a team./li/ulpWe have amazing benefits to support you as an employee at ZEISS!/pulliMedical/liliVision/liliDental/lili401k Matching/liliEmployee Assistance Programs/liliVacation and sick pay/liliThe list goes on!/li/ulpThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for this job.
