Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location: North Charleston, SC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 07:00 - 19:00, 3 - 12 hour shifts per week including every other weekend.

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As an ICU RN, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to patients with complex medical conditions and those requiring advanced interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care for up to 1-3 ICU patients, including managing patients on ventilators.
• Utilize bedside shift report for patient hand-offs, ensuring continuity of care.
• Administer advanced medical treatments and procedures, including CRRT, hemodynamic monitoring, and phlebotomy.
• Manage post-operative care for cardiovascular surgeries, including CABG procedures and handling advanced equipment such as Swan Ganz catheters.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 36 months of RN experience, with at least 12 months in an ICU setting.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale.
• BSN or higher education is preferred, along with advanced certifications (e.g., TNCC) and experience with neuro procedures.
