Initiates, maintains, transports, and monitors mechanical ventilators to include basic conventional modes of ventilation per policy and procedure.Utilizes patient assessment skills, protocols, chart review, and confers with multidisciplinary team to determine efficacy of therapy in a cost and time efficient manner making appropriate recommendations and changes per department protocol.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesPatient care skills to care for neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations per hospital needs.EducationAssociate [Required] in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary ScienceWork Experience1+ critical care experience [Preferred]Licenses and CertificationsRespiratory Care Practitioner License (RCP) with Texas Medical Board [Required]NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Required]Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]ACLS [Required]PALS [Required]NRP [Required]Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements) Physical RequirementsPay Range: $27.18 - $50.55This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
