- Production LaborerAlbertville - Truss Mfg - Albertville, MN 55301## OverviewSalary Range$23.00 - $23.50 HourlyEducation LevelHigh School/GEDTravel PercentageNoneCategoryManufacturing## Position summaryA laborer versed in all areas, responsibilities and functions (standard work) of production assembly at SBTD focusing on Continuous Improvement, Safety, Quality and Efficiency. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:****Production**1. Assembly of roof and floor trusses according to Standard work2. Perform plate picker functions3. Pre-pick plate orders from plate pick lists4. Prepare odd panels, ends, verticals, bearing block assemblies, blocks ...for floor line5. Assist and support External set-up position as directed6. Assist drivers in delivery and/or pickup of product and materials7. Ride along on deliveries and returns as directed8. Help load/unload jobs as directed9. Perform outside stacker function as needed or directed10. Stack and band trusses off assembly line11. Make general plate repairs12. Inspect for Quality issues or concerns and fix if possible or bring to assembly leads attention13. Assist forklift operators as needed or directed14. Assist with Cycle counts and full inventories as directed15. Perform other miscellaneous duties, as assigned16. Assist in Saw room as directed**Safety and Wellness**1. Continually increase knowledge and awareness of Safety2. Computer Based Training courses (CBT)3. Proper use of all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE’s) as required4. Operate equipment and tools according to established safety standards and regulations5. Promote all safety and wellness initiatives**Continuous Improvement**1. Support Continuous Improvement initiatives; follow Standard work as it applies to your work area and function2. Seek input from team to identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions3. Maintain 6S and performs 6S duties in area## Qualifications**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:**1. 1 to 2 years manufacturing experience preferred2. History of acceptable attendance**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:**1. Safety oriented2. Positive attitude3. Ability to communicate clearly4. Ability to trouble shoot and solve problems5. Ability to create and promote a positive work environment6. Ability to prioritize and respond accordingly7. Demonstrate positive company image in attitude, dialogue and appearance8. Ability to be flexible and open-minded to change; find a better way9. Ability (thru training) to read and interpret our shop drawings and layouts10. Able to read tape measure and perform basic math11. Able to perform against Standard Work**PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS:**1. Carry, lift, push and pull up to 100 lbs.2. Bend/squat repetitively3. Ability to climb up and down on assembly table (approximate 3 feet elevation)4. Stand for majority of workday5. Reach above head/shoulders6. Production environment7. Exposure to extreme weather conditions8. Dusty working conditions9. Exposure to loud mechanical equipment
