Location: Austin / Leander, TX Route: Far West Blvd Kitchen, Austin → BASIS Leander Position Type: [Full-Time / Part-Time] Schedule: Monday–Friday, following the school calendar Position Overview Crave It Nutrition is seeking a dependable, organized, and friendly School Lunch Manager to oversee the daily delivery and lunch service for BASIS Leander . This position will begin each workday at our kitchen located off Far West Blvd in Austin , where the School Lunch Manager will organize and load prepared meals and supplies. They will then drive to BASIS Leander , manage the school’s lunch service, ensure meals are served accurately and professionally, clean and organize the service area. The ideal candidate is reliable, comfortable driving daily, great with students and school staff, and able to take ownership of the lunch program at their assigned school. Key Responsibilities Report to the Crave It Nutrition kitchen off Far West Blvd in Austin each scheduled school day. Review daily meal counts, orders, special dietary needs, and delivery requirements. Verify that all meals, beverages, supplies, and service equipment are ready before leaving the kitchen. Safely load meals and supplies into the designated delivery vehicle. Drive from the Austin kitchen to BASIS Leander each day while following all traffic and food transportation safety requirements. Arrive at the school on time and have the lunch service area fully prepared before students arrive. Set up and organize meals for efficient lunch service. Serve and distribute meals accurately according to student orders and school procedures. Provide friendly and professional service to students, teachers, administrators, and school staff. Maintain proper food temperatures and follow all food safety and sanitation procedures. Pay close attention to allergies, dietary restrictions, and special meal instructions. Track meal counts, shortages, extra meals, and other daily service information. Communicate promptly with the kitchen team regarding missing items, changes, concerns, or school requests. Keep the lunch service area clean, organized, and presentable throughout service. Break down and clean the lunch area after service. Organize remaining supplies, equipment, and applicable food items for transportation back to the kitchen. Return to the Far West Blvd kitchen as required at the end of the school lunch route. Assist with light kitchen, packing, inventory, or organizational duties before or after the school route when needed. Build a positive working relationship with BASIS Leander staff and represent Crave It Nutrition professionally at all times. Qualifications Valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Reliable and punctual, with the ability to complete the Austin-to-Leander route every scheduled school day. Comfortable driving and transporting prepared food and supplies. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with children and school personnel. Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the daily lunch operation. Strong attention to detail, especially when handling meal orders and dietary restrictions. Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and transport boxes, food containers, and lunch supplies. Food service, catering, school lunch, restaurant, delivery, or hospitality experience is preferred. Food Handler certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification. Drive to BASIS Leander: Safely transport the day's meals and supplies to the school. Manage Lunch Service: Set up the lunch area, organize orders, serve students, communicate with school staff, monitor food safety, and make sure lunch service stays on schedule. Close Down: Clean and organize the service area, record meal counts or issues from the day, pack remaining supplies, and prepare items for return.
