We are looking to add a Proposal Engineer for Power Projects to our Cranberry Township, PA office. You will be an essential part of the North America Power Projects Proposals organization as a proposal engineer leading retrofit proposal support . You will lead the preparation of power project offers for our customers in the power industry. - Prepare DCS proposals for power industry projects in response to customer requests for proposals.
- Define proposal strategies that align with customer specifications, based on organizational goals, market insight, and expert process and product knowledge.
- Collaborate across teams to validate technical feasibility, engineering requirements, and cost‑effective solutions.
- Engage directly with customers to communicate Emerson's capabilities and understand application needs.
- Develop optimal project cost structures that mitigate technical risk and strengthen competitive positioning.
- Support presentations, interviews, and negotiations utilizing a thorough understanding of customer applications and Emerson capabilities and products.
- Partner effectively with sales, engineering, project teams, and global offices as needed to deliver cohesive proposal packages.
- BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledgeable in distributed control systems (DCS) and/or process operation.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
- Experience with control systems such as PLC or SCADA.
- Knowledge of or experience with the Ovation™ DCS platform.
- Background in proposal development, cost estimating, or project engineering.
