Production Planner

Production Planner A leading aerospace and defense manufacturer is seeking a Production Planner to support planning, scheduling, and workflow coordination within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing raw materials, work orders, outside processing, inventory accuracy, and production flow within an ERP/MRP system to meet customer delivery requirements and operational goals. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor MRP signals including material purchases, job releases, and overdue/exception notices
- Review forecasts, customer demand, and inventory levels to support production planning
- Create, release, and maintain work orders and material requisitions
- Coordinate with production, engineering, purchasing, shipping, and outside vendors to ensure on-time delivery
- Manage schedule changes based on customer demand fluctuations
- Maintain ERP inventory accuracy and support cycle count activities
- Analyze work center capacity and production schedules
- Track finished goods, work-in-progress, and customer delivery commitments
- Execute inventory transactions and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or High School Diploma/GED with equivalent experience
- 3-5+ years of production planning, scheduling or inventory control within aerospace manufacturing environment
- Experience working in ERP/MRP systems (Epicor experience preferred)
- Manufacturing or machine shop planning experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Strong Excel Required)
- $5,000 Sign-On Bonus
