Job Description
Title: CNA - Per Diem

Schedule: Must be able to complete a full day orientation on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Minimum shift requirement: 24 hours per month, which must include 2 weekend shifts.

Requirements:
- One (1) year of previous long-term care experience
- Certified Nurse Assistant certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or RQI)

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect resident care as outlined in the care plan, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting needs.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, responding promptly to call lights and alarms, and ensuring appropriate safety measures are in place.
- Support residents' nutritional needs, including meal delivery, preparation, and feeding assistance while honoring individual preferences.
- Assist with rehabilitative needs as directed in the care plan, including mobility support and use of assistive devices.
- Communicate any changes in residents' physical or emotional status to the supervising nurse promptly.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation attendance is mandatory.
- Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated; required tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
