PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Inverness, FL

Job Description

We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Inverness, Florida on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This flexible opportunity is ideal for a motivated SLP looking to provide high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining scheduling autonomy. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across pediatric and adult populations.\n
\nResponsibilities:\n

\n
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
\n
• Develop and implement individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans based on assessment findings.
\n
• Provide evidence-based therapy to address articulation, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
\n
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, home strategies, and techniques to support progress outside of therapy sessions.
\n
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, educators, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
\n
• Stay current with best practices, research, and advancements in speech-language pathology.
\n
• Maintain compliance with ethical, legal, and facility policies, including standards established by ASHA and the Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology.
\n

Qualifications:\n

\n
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
\n
• Current Florida SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
\n
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred).
\n
• CPR certification (preferred).
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
\n
• Previous clinical experience preferred but not required.
\n
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a flexible, as-needed schedule.
\n

Work Environment:\n

• PRN/as-needed position with flexible, variable scheduling based on facility needs.
\n
• Ability to commit to shifts with reasonable notice and adapt to changing caseloads.
\n
• Potential work settings include hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, or home health.
